چکیده

Abstract This study aimed to evaluate the corneal epitheliotoxic effects of preservative-free ketorolac tromethamine 0.5% and diclofenac sodium 0.1% eye drops in rabbits. Seventeen New Zealand rabbits were randomly divided into three groups: group, control group (0.9% NaCl). For each rabbit, both eyes treated times daily according their treatment group. The epithelia analyzed using scanning electron microscopy observe number light, grey, dark cells; epithelial holes; loss hexagonal shape. Both formulations administered caused changes healthy Except for holes (p < 0.05), all parameters showed a statistically significant difference between groups. cells was highest (p<0.05). grey higher than =0.003). A associated with smaller light (r =-0.577, p 0.001). Loss shape direct correlation (r=0.524, p=0.002). Based on results presented, it possible conclude that more toxic rabbit epithelium 0.1%.
